This software application (app), called EnDeCrypt 3.0, has been designed to accompany the following book:
JH van Vuuren & D van Greunen, 2027. Cryptology - Mathematical foundations and applications, Springer, Cham.
The purpose of this app is to assist the reader when trying out for him/herself the various cryptographic and cryptanalytic concepts touched upon in the text above. Such experimentations are often tedious to perform by hand, and it is hoped that this facilitating app, to which frequent reference is made throughout the book, will come in handy in this regard.
• Werner Gründlingh designed the first version of the app, EnDeCrypt 1.0, in 1999.
• Carl Sheffler designed the second version of the app, EnDeCrypt 2.0, in 2002.
• Jacques Ludik designed the current version of the app, EnDeCrypt 3.0, in 2027.
